Responsibilities
- Provide complete and accurate quantity and cost take-offs.
- Write thorough and detailed bid and proposal summaries.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Identify plan discrepancies.
- Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Prepare reports regarding the current and future work and project portfolio for the management to be presented to the bank on quarterly and annual basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; Engineering; or closely related field, plus three years of experience in preconstruction, project, and cost estimating.
- Experience in quantity take-offs and square foot estimating.
- Experience with on-screen take-off.
- Experience using Construction Management Software ProEst.
- Experience using Procore Construction Management Software.
- Experience using On Center Software.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and MS Word).
- Experience using Adobe Systems Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Task and detail oriented in performing necessary documentation.
- Ability to prioritize and manage resources, and deliver results on time.
- Extremely well organized.
- Thrives in a collaborative and cooperative team environment.
