COST-PROJECT ESTIMATOR

Responsibilities

• Provide complete and accurate quantity and cost take-offs.
• Write thorough and detailed bid and proposal summaries.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Identify plan discrepancies.
• Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Prepare reports regarding the current and future work and project portfolio for the management to be presented to the bank on quarterly and annual basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; Engineering; or closely related field, plus three years of experience in preconstruction, project, and cost estimating.
• Experience in quantity take-offs and square foot estimating.
• Experience with on-screen take-off.
• Experience using Construction Management Software ProEst.
• Experience using Procore Construction Management Software.
• Experience using On Center Software.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and MS Word).
• Experience using Adobe Systems Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Task and detail oriented in performing necessary documentation.
• Ability to prioritize and manage resources, and deliver results on time.
• Extremely well organized.
• Thrives in a collaborative and cooperative team environment.
