Cost Planning Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update cost planning models, cost structures, and financial projections
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead cost components to support pricing and program profitability
• Assist with evaluating cost impacts of engineering changes, supplier updates, and new product introductions
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Prepare cost variance analyses and management reports with clear explanations
• Monitor key cost-related KPIs and identify opportunities for cost optimization
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to understand cost drivers and operational impacts
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and audit requirements
• Support cost reviews, new model launch activities, and cross-functional financial planning meetings

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cost planning, cost modeling, and financial analysis
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or cost structure development
• Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly
• Strong collaboration skills for working with engineering, purchasing, production, and finance teams
