​Cost Management Analyst​

About the role

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Tennessee (TMMTN) Accounting & Finance Department is seeking a Cost Management Analyst to support the Jackson, TN plant, with potential overlap supporting the Troy, MO or Princeton, IN plants. Reporting to the A&F Manager, this role supports financial analysis, cost functions, cost reduction activities, and KPI achievement. The analyst provides accurate, timely financial information for management decision-making and serves as a key resource for all Manufacturing Shops. The position requires in-depth accounting knowledge applied to complex issues, flexibility, and creativity as the business prepares for electrification. The individual will work with general direction but must resolve many issues independently, collaborating with Manufacturing Shop Departments and other Toyota North America Manufacturing Companies.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost leadership for Jackson TN Manufacturing management, including budget coordination, cost reporting and analysis, and ad-hoc support related to cost inquiries.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing, completing monthly journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Conduct shop cost actual versus budget, forecast, and ideal cost planning target variance analysis.
• Review, analyze, and route operating ringis in support of plant operations.
• Perform cost lead activities, including go-and-see activities to support cost reduction reporting as well as system reconciliation.
• Provide physical inventory support & audit as needed.
• Participate in activities which support Toyota Way culture at the NAMC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting operating expenses.
• Experience supporting Monthly Close Processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 tools such as Teams & SharePoint; technically competent in graphing and charting.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with all personalities; negotiate aggressive targets while collaborating on problems and projects to accomplish company goals.
• Ability to come on-site to the Jackson, TN facility 4 days a week.
• Advanced degree (above Bachelor’s) — preferred.
• Experience with SAP Financials and/or BPC Planning for SAP — preferred.
• Experience working for an Automotive Manufacturing company — preferred.
• Working experience with Microsoft Power BI (including data importation, slicer manipulation, report creation and troubleshooting) — preferred.
• Experience with PowerPoint and presentation skills — preferred.
• CPA or CMA — preferred.
