Position Summary
The Cost Finance Analyst evaluates operational efficiencies and analyzes expense trends to promote sound decision making amongst leadership. Builds and supports standard reports, templates and other tools as well as provides valuable insights to help derive operational efficiency enhancement initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Aid with the LRP/AOP/Forecast processes.
- Perform month-end review process, including:
- Review expense results and trends with operational leadership.
- Aid in preparation and review of month-end presentations for senior teams.
- Prepare and input month-end comments Financial Packet and other relevant documents.
- Support capital process by compiling data for capital requests and assisting with capital investment impact analysis.
- Participate in action teams, key strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Maintain Anaplan in collaboration with Home Office.
- Support scorecard setup and development plan objectives.
- Aid in the development of financial acumen.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
When You Will Work
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.
What You Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, plus two or more years of related professional experience.
- Proven ability to analyze performance metrics, build ROI models, and translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong foundational knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, cost accounting, and internal control analysis and implementation.
- Practical understanding of the general accounting cycle, with the ability to journalize and reconcile trial balance activity, identify coding errors, and navigate AP, AR, Payroll, and inventory processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) with hands-on experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with strong strategic visioning, decision-making capabilities, and a love for working in cross-functional team environments.
- Highly self-directed and adaptable, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, navigate ambiguity, manage workload fluctuations, and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Approaches others with tact, and takes full responsibility for meeting commitments.
- A collaborative team player who is proactively willing to take on additional tasks and duties as business needs evolve.
