About the Opportunity
We are seeking Cost Estimators to join our Advisory Services team. Ideal candidates should have 4+ years of experience in construction management and/or engineering, specifically in cost estimating. Experience with multiple estimating software and knowledge of CSI MasterFormat and UniFormat classifications is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a multi-discipline engineering team as a cost estimator.
- Support the Parametrix team in developing conceptual and detailed engineering and construction estimates.
- Conduct quantity and material takeoffs.
- Build the Basis of Cost Estimate based on user feedback, owner input, and engineering team insights.
- Conduct market research to understand cost drivers for materials and labor.
- Establish relationships with clients by participating in workshops and providing defensible data, relevant questions, and risk-based information.
- Collaborate with multiple team members and clients across various projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction management and/or engineering, with a focus on cost estimating.
- 2+ years of experience preparing cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Exposure to RS Means Online, Blue Beam (or other electronic takeoff software), Timberline, and HCSS.
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) estimates and their application to project alternatives.
- A science-based bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, economics, finance, or a related field.
