Cost Estimator

Overview

We are looking for a Cost Estimator. Potential candidates will work as part of the Cost Management division and support the Organization, assisting in the development of cost estimating for various construction projects, including retail restaurants and associated sitework and vendor items.

Job Description

• Develop construction cost budgets from preliminary, schematic, design documents, and construction documents in support of a variety of construction projects for retail restaurants and associated sitework and vendor items.
• Compare budget costs to benchmark pricing information, analyze quantities and scope items, and assist in value engineering.
• Enhance overall cost controls service delivery by increasing efficiency and improving processes and managing cost changes to prototypes.
• Support in developing and maintaining customers' historical cost benchmarks for various project types.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize requests to meet or exceed the customer's expectations.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in cost management and understanding of CSI trade costs.
• Experience in Construction Management or Real Estate, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to clients and team to achieve project goals.
• Working knowledge of architectural & engineering drawings.
• Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed.
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to support Business Development initiatives as assigned or requested.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with the customer's executives, JLL executives.
• Ability to successfully communicate with architects, engineers, contractors, client's representatives, and team members.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Project software (i.e., RS Means, Onscreen Center, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, CostX, Plan swift).
