Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks required to develop and maintain budgets for the project. This includes reorganizing budgets resulting from a change in means and methods, as well as updating budgets for additional work activities.
  • SUPPORTS Cost Tracking / Reporting / Forecasting. This includes coding or reviewing the coding of timesheets, invoices, etc. for accuracy as well as ensuring that adequate tracking of quantities and production is performed on a weekly basis. The results of the analysis should be clearly communicated to the other members of the project team.
  • SUPPORT the change order management process.
  • AID IN PREPARATION OF COST ESTIMATES AND NEGOTIATION FOR ADDITIONAL WORK ON THE PROJECT INCLUDING TRACKING Time & Material work.
  • AID IN MONTHLY PROJECT COST FORECASTING.
  • AID IN PREPARATION OF SUBCONTRACTOR AND MATERIAL SUPPLIER QUOTE ANALYSIS AND NEGOTIATIONS.
  • PARTICIPATE IN QUARTERLY PROJECT AUDITS BASED ON EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF THE ONGOING CONSTRUCTION AS WELL AS INPUT FROM OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PROJECT TEAM.
  • PROVIDE SUPERVISION AND/OR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING TO CLERICAL AND ENTRY LEVEL PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL ASSIGNED TO AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY AS NEEDED.
  • AID IN PROJECT CLOSE-OUT.
  • AID IN MAINTAINING, DEVELOPING, AND STRENGTHENING CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS.
  • PERFORM ADDITIONAL ASSIGNMENTS PER SUPERVISOR’S DIRECTION.
  • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent required.
  • 3-4 years of construction experience.
  • ABILITY TO READ AND ANALYZE ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
  • STRONG KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF CONTRACTS AND CONTRACT LANGUAGE.
  • ABILITY TO IDENTIFY, PRIORITIZE AND MITIGATE PROJECT RISK.
  • COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE AND EFFICIENCY, INCLUDING MICROSOFT OFFICE PRODUCTS AND SHAREPOINT.
  • EXCELLENT ANALYTICAL SKILLS.
  • FUNCTIONS EFFECTIVELY AS PART OF A TEAM.
  • ABILITY TO MAINTAIN DISCRETION AND CONFIDENTIALITY AT ALL TIMES.
  • STRONG WRITTEN AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
  • GOOD TIME MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS.
  • ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.
