Cost Engineer - Oil & Gas Pipeline

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Engineer to join their Oil & Gas Pipeline client. The role involves preparing and supporting regular operational cost reports, managing and updating monthly forecasts, reconciling actuals vs. forecast, reviewing and tracking project and portfolio financial performance, and analyzing and issuing project reports.

Responsibilities

• Track financial performance against budgets and forecast
• Manage and update monthly forecasts and provide variation reports
• Reconcile actuals vs. forecast
• Review and track project and portfolio financial performance
• Analyze and issue project reports such as VOWD, cash flow analysis, PO headroom, and vendor invoice management
• Reconcile invoices in SAP
• Adhere to Sox control responsibilities where applicable

Requirements

• Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in cost and financial reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in SAP and ECOSYS
• Experience utilizing data visualization tools like Power BI (a plus)
• Managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 5-10 years of post-grad experience in financial analysis and reporting, or related role
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
• Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
