Cost Control Engineer
Job Description
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Tracking status of cost accruals and pay applications
- Coinciding reviews with Segment Engineers
- Identifying discrepancies & performing subcontract reconciliation for production scope
- Weekly Time Review/Reporting with MHRs
- Facilitating Weekly Meetings with the Construction team to ensure proper coding
- Monthly equipment Reviews
- Weekly Labor Productivity Reports and reviews with Segment Engineers
- Review/Processing Requisitions and Change Order Requests providing Forecast figures and cost codes
- Cost Transfers requests and following up with Finance to ensure cost coding accuracy
- Supporting Forecast Reviews/Updates as needed assisting with preparation of forecast templates & supporting documentation
- Performing analysis as needed under the Cost Control Manager supervision (contracts commitments, labor productivities, main overruns incurred..)
- Determining gaps for construction team to review
Required Skills And Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost construction or project engineering
- Knowledge of construction cost control practices and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced level of Microsoft Excel

About the Role
The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring project costs, supporting financial forecasting, and ensuring accurate reporting of cost performance across one of the SR400 segments. This role plays a key part in integrating cost control systems, analyzing financial data, and supporting project teams in maintaining budgetary discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
