Cost Control Analyst III

Responsibilities

• Prepare project labor and expense plans.
• Forecast through the use of accounting and project management systems.
• Provide risk mitigation by alerting management of known and unknown risks on projects through proactively monitoring labor and expenses for assigned projects.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of cost control policy, including internal processes and procedures.
• Routinely converse with the cost control team as well as the Project Director/Manager, design, and/or field staff while conveying and reinforcing these processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of eight years of related experience.

Skills

• Works well within a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent understanding of general accounting standards and principles.
• Expert understanding of design and/or construction accounting practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Technically strong with labor and cost planning and forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to provide risk mitigation strategies to projects in a proactive and timely way.
