Responsibilities
- Prepare project labor and expense plans
- Forecast through the use of accounting and project management systems
- Provide risk mitigation by alerting management of known and unknown risks on projects through proactively monitoring labor and expenses for assigned projects
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of cost control policy, including internal processes and procedures
- Routinely converse with the cost control team as well as the Project Director/Manager, design, and/or field staff while conveying and reinforcing these processes and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of eight years of related experience
Skills
- Works well within a team-oriented environment
- Excellent understanding of general accounting standards and principles
- Expert understanding of design and/or construction accounting practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Technically strong with labor and cost planning and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to provide risk mitigation strategies to projects in a proactive and timely way
