Job Summary

Ranpak is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will analyze raw materials, labor, and inventory to drive efficiency and profitability, collaborate with various departments to support new product initiatives, and maintain fixed assets and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze raw materials, labor, and inventory to uncover insights that drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Bridge Finance and Operations by collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, and Purchasing to develop machine costing and support new product initiatives.
  • Maintain fixed assets, reconcile general ledger accounts, and support audits with detailed schedules and roll-forwards.
  • Lead with precision in managing production data analysis from SAP ERP system and ensuring accurate revenue recognition for automation projects.
  • Support innovation by helping planners close production orders, track labor hours, and manage internal projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Partner across departments to ensure item master accuracy and contribute to special projects that make a real impact.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting (CMA or MBA a plus!)
  • 3–5 years of cost accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel, with a knack for turning data into actionable insights.
  • A collaborative spirit and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
