Major Responsibilities
- Create, implement and monitor cost / management accounting system and procedures.
- Monitor and report on manufacturing budgets and variances.
- Participate in and prepare Bill of Material (BOM) set up, maintenance and costing review for manufactured items.
- Maintain integrity of general ledger transactions.
- Analyze, reconcile, and review inventory valuation reports.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations.
- Review and maintain site cycle count analysis and tracking.
- Prepare recommendations, support and implement alternatives to work processes that will increase efficiencies and quality of financial reporting.
- Prepare cost and variance analysis associated with the month, quarter and year-end close, prepare related reports, and meet reporting deadlines.
- Develop product cost models: material usage, material cost, equipment requirements, labor rates, labor cycle times, overhead, tooling, and capital requirements for new business or changes to current business.
- Participate in integration of cost accounting system with other company accounting and administrative systems.
- Monitor standard work procedures for product cost tracking.
- Prepare budget to actual variance reports.
- Prepare month, quarter and year-end report and presentation data.
- Perform complex analyses of specific cost centers and variances.
- Perform and analyze cost trends.
- Prepare manufacturing variance reporting.
- Perform semi-finished goods Master Data set up and review.
- Prepare period end presentation material.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Intermediate level skills in MS Office tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Intermediate knowledge of cost accounting and business systems and best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL in data analysis.
Estimated Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this role based in Missouri is between $82,000 – 114,200.Benefits
