Cost Accountant

Our dynamic manufacturing client is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their plant finance team. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role for a curious, process-minded professional who loves being on the floor, partnering with people across the business, and turning day-to-day operations into clear financial insight. Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Operations, Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Procurement teams to translate plant performance into clear, actionable financial insights.
• Maintain standard costing and analyze manufacturing variances, product costs, and opportunities to reduce waste and improve margins.
• Support inventory controls, including cycle counts, physical counts, valuation, reconciliations, and follow-up on discrepancies across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, month-end close, and journal entries tied to plant activity.
• Track capital projects and fixed assets, support audits, and help strengthen internal controls and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, or a related field such as Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or Math.
• Audit experience paired with a manufacturing background, either directly in industry or through public accounting manufacturing clients.
• Working knowledge of inventory control practices, such as cycle counting, blind counts, recounts, and validation, with comfort following GMPs while on the plant floor daily.
• Proficiency in Excel, including lookup formulas such as XLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH. SAP experience is a plus.
• A collaborative, curious, communicative style, with openness to feedback, mentorship, and a fast-changing environment.

Pay

Salary: $80K-$110K/year + Bonus (DOE).
