Cost Accountant

About the role

Position type: Exempt. Assist in controlling activities for the legal entity of GTP Towanda (Asset Management, Product Costs, Inventories, Planning, Reporting, and Documenting).

Responsibilities

• Asset Management (Assist in Capitalization, Tracking, Physicals)
• Product Costs (Provide Assistance/Backup)
• Inventory Valuation (Review and Support Inventory Valuation)
• Planning (Provide assistance and reviews for the planning process)
• Reporting (Ad hoc and Monthly Standards)
• Create/Update Documentation for Key Processes
• Monthly Closing Activities
• Provide Assistance to Special Projects
• Support Annual External Financial Audit

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Finance/Accounting or related major
• 1-3 years of Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing setting (SAP/ERP experience preferred)

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)3, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
