Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Provide month-end financial reports
• Aid in the financial planning of the organization
• Compare actual costs to budgeted costs and analyze variances
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for cost accounting activities
• Perform physical inventory control and reporting
• Absorb cycle counts/physical inventories, and analyze the cost accounting data
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with a focus on the accounts relating to sales, costs, inventory, and liabilities
• Execute gross margin analysis and report on findings
• Aid with internal and external audits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Five (5)+ years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of position
• Prior experience in manufacturing
• SAP experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Strong communication skills to work with individuals from multiple departments and locations
