Cost Accountant

About the role

A growing global manufacturing company is adding a Cost Accountant to its team in Webster Groves, St. Louis.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update standard costs by analyzing production data, monitoring cost trends, and supporting updates to ensure costing reflects current operations.
• Maintain and audit the standard costing system including reviewing cost structures, updating standard costs as needed, and ensuring accuracy across raw materials, labor, and overhead allocations.
• Conduct variance analysis for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Lead the monthly inventory reconciliation process.
• Partner with operations and plant leadership to review cost drivers and support process improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with standard costing and inventory.
• Ledger or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
