Cost Accountant

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with a growing manufacturing company in Chelmsford, MA seeking a Cost Accountant. This position will be part of an established accounting team and will have exposure to both financial and operational accounting. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing accounting experience and enjoy working with different areas of the business to analyze costs, improve reporting and support the monthly close. Responsibilities Support monthly accounting and close activitiesPrepare journal entries and account reconciliationsAssist with cost and inventory accountingAnalyze manufacturing costs and variancesSupport inventory reporting and analysisPrepare financial and operational reportsPartner with accounting and operational teamsAssist with maintaining accounting controls and proceduresHelp identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting Requirements Previous accounting experience within a manufacturing environmentCost and inventory accounting experienceSolid understanding of general accounting and month-end closeExperience working with ERP/accounting systemsStrong Excel and analytical skillsAbility to communicate effectively across different areas of an organizationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred Compensation: $80K–$110K plus bonus and excellent benefits.
