Responsibilities

The Cost Accountant is responsible for calculating and tracking operating costs such as labor, raw material, overhead, inventory etc.; analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods etc., to determine the effect on costs; comparing factors affecting prices and productivity; preparing ad-hoc summaries and variance reports; as well as implementing related cost accounting policies, systems and procedures.

• Act as sole custodian of the standard costing system.
• Analyze actual costs to standard costs and make the appropriate recommendations
