Cost Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities

• Allocate costs of labor, materials, and overhead to product costing.
• Calculate production and overhead rates for costing systems and pricing models.
• Track productivity within production areas.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and comply with accounting policies, procedures, & controls.
• Support inventory accuracy through material standard costing and inventory testing.
• Create dashboards and reports using PowerBI to support internal decision making.
• Work cross-functionally with IT to source and provide proper data sets for dashboards/reports.
• Maintain data integrity and consistency across dashboards/reports.
• Support internal/external audit requests.
• Work on special projects as required.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in manufacturing/construction environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience or knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL is a plus.
