About the role
Drylock Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Cost Accountant to partner closely with Production and Supply Chain teams. This role transforms data into meaningful business insights, supports informed decision-making, and thrives at the intersection of finance and operations. Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing performance by comparing actual production results against standard costs and budgets, providing insights into cost drivers and variances.
- Review manufacturing master data affecting product costs and coordinate corrections with the responsible operational teams.
- Prepare monthly manufacturing reporting and support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Facilitate regular manufacturing performance reviews with Production and Supply Chain, identify root causes of significant variances, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain finished goods standard costing and inventory valuation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Perform obsolete inventory reviews and maintain related inventory reserves.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and support the capitalization, depreciation, and reporting of capital expenditure projects including IFRS16 leases.
- Support the annual budgeting process.
- Perform and document internal controls related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and fixed assets, and support internal and external audits within these areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or plant finance in an FMCG environment.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and standard costing principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Advanced Excel, MS Office, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational teams and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Demonstrates behaviors and values that align with plant cultures.
This position supports both Drylock manufacturing facilities and requires periodic travel between Eau Claire, WI and Reidsville, NC.
