Cost Accountant
Summary
The “Cost Accountant” will be based in Dallas, TX and report to the Director of Finance. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining accounting records
- Researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements
- Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account
- Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly researched and adjustments are made
- Collect business reasons for remaining variances and report appropriately
- Reconcile all scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify variances and ensure proper handling
- Review accounts periodically to identify potential risks and mitigate them
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of book close related/reporting activities
- Work with relevant teams to prepare Forecast / Budget for related accounts
- Collaborate with Operations team to improve business/operational metrics
- Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory, and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS
Requirements
- Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA / BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees
- Typically requires 5-6 years of related experience
- A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA)
Qualifications
Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA / BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
Typically requires 5-6 years of related experience.

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
