About the role
The primary responsibility of the Cost Accountant is to manage financial records, analyze costs, and provide insights to support decision-making processes within the company.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the budgeting process and monitor expenditures against budgets.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize operations.
- Perform variance analysis to assess performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems is a plus.
Skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.

Pay
$70,000 - $80,000 annually.
