Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant supports the Accounting Department by performing a variety of duties, prioritizing tasks, and meeting scheduled requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to crews
• Provide information and reports to management
• Code various transactions with appropriate account coding
• Complete and/or assist with entry uploads
• Complete general ledger entries as needed
• Prepare reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze cost/trend information
• Assist with various projects (e.g., accounting, performance improvement, process documentation)
• Cross-train and assist with other departmental duties as needed
• Serve as lead or backup for assigned duties

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
• Telephone skills and verbal communication
• Microsoft Office Skills (Excel & Access experience a plus)
• Ability to operate business machines
• Strong listening, professionalism, and customer focus
• Excellent organization and ability to inform others
• Ability to handle pressure and manage supply
