Overview Of The Cost Accountant Role
- Analyze manufacturing costs including labor, materials, and overhead to support accurate product costing.
- Maintain and review inventory transactions including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Prepare cost analysis reports, track variances, and support plant management with financial insights.
- Aid with month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory valuation.
Preferred Qualifications For The Cost Accountant Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with cost accounting or manufacturing accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.
- ERP system experience preferred.
Pay
$70,000–$85,000 annually depending on experience
