Cost Accountant

Job Title: Cost Accountant Location: Indianapolis, IN (FULLY IN OFFICE) Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000 Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview The Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing the costing process and providing valuable insights into production costs and financial performance. This role will focus on cost analysis, variance reporting, and helping to ensure cost-effective operations across all departments. Key Responsibilities Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular cost reportsMonitor inventory transactions and maintain accurate recordsInvestigate and explain variances between actual costs and budgeted costsAssist in the development of cost standards and recommend improvementsWork closely with the operations team to ensure accurate costing and financial controlsSupport month-end close activities and prepare relevant financial reportsMaintain and update the standard costing systemPerform profitability analysis of products and make recommendationsAssist in budget preparation and forecasting related to production costsSupport audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a similar industryStrong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices Why Join Us?
