Cost Accountant
Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze cost accounting activities across multiple locations.
- Support inventory accounting and work order tracking, which is the core focus of this role.
- Process and review costing within JDE for multiple sites.
- Perform variance analysis on labor, material, and overhead, and communicate insights effectively.
- Partner with plant operations and corporate finance to ensure accurate reporting.
- Aid with month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
- Maintain and improve costing accuracy and reporting processes.
- Build and manage reports using Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Support ad hoc analysis and requests from leadership as needed.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience.
- Experience in inventory and work order accounting.
- Experience in manufacturing or inventory-driven environments.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with JDE (preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred, not required).
Work Environment
- This position is located on-site, requiring attendance five days a week from 8 am to 5 pm.
- The role is initially expected to last through the end of the year, with the potential for extension and long-term possibilities depending on budget.
- The opportunity provides a chance to work with a major manufacturing company, engaging with multiple sites rather than being confined to a single plant.

Pay And Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
