Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide support services for the Cosmetology Program.
Minimum Qualifications: Texas CSME Operator license required. Three (3) years work experience in cosmetology.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of TDLR rules and regulations. Knowledge of sanitation and safety in salon settings. Knowledge of record keeping. Professional verbal communications skills when communicating with students, staff and faculty.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Cosmetology or related field.

Job Duties

  • Assist faculty in utilizing resources, materials, and educational technology to complement the teaching and learning process.
  • Affords assistance to students in the proper and safe operation of a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Affords assistance to faculty in maintaining student records / forms.
  • Maintains oversight of the Cosmetology laboratory when students are completing laboratory hours and services.
