An Inspector
An Inspector begins and ends their workday at their residence. The inspector travels daily using a state-issued vehicle within their assigned area of Cuyahoga County to conduct routine, follow-up and complaint-based inspections for infection control, safety, and licensing compliance of individuals and businesses.
Responsibilities
- Completing inspections of businesses and individuals licensed by the Board.
- Composing/preparing and emailing completed reports of inspection findings to licensees.
- Using state-issued laptop equipment to compete inspections.
- Testifying in 119/adjudication hearings when requested.
- Maintaining assigned state-owned vehicle, reporting needed maintenance and submitting gas purchases.
- Communicating with Board licensees and the general public.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Cosmetologist per chapter 4713 of the Ohio Revised Code or current licensure as a Barber per chapter 4709 of the Ohio Revised Code AND valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- The selected candidate must live in one of the following counties: Cuyahoga, Mercer, Darke, Preble, Butler, Warren, Miami, Shelby.
