Cosmetologist - Part Time

About the Role

Miraval’s Cosmetologist provides quality hair services (cuts and color), natural nail services, and waxing (body and facial) with top-tier customer service and care.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Adhere to all Miraval and Hyatt policies and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and stations; restock linens and products before, after, and during shifts
• Perform consecutive services within a predetermined time frame
• Sell retail products associated with treatments and achieve monthly sales goals
• Attend and actively participate in protocol training, product training, operations training, and department meetings

Requirements

• Respond to individual guest needs while adhering to Miraval standards for service, care, cleanliness, and sanitation
• Demonstrate proficiency in current trends for haircuts, coloring, highlighting, manicures, pedicures, nail polishing, and eyebrow shaping
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest and colleague experience with genuine care and empathy
• Desire to assist guests in achieving their wellness goals by respecting their journey and meeting them where they are
• Professional appearance, demeanor, and confidence
• Strong educational background with the ability to identify client contraindications to services
• Assist in promoting spa treatments by maintaining knowledge of trends in hair, hand, and foot therapy
• Currently licensed in Arizona to perform nail and hair services

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cosmetologist preferred
• In Miraval’s luxury spa environment, 85% of bookings are for nail services (natural nail salon)
