Cosmetologist - Part Time

About the Role

Miraval’s Cosmetologist provides quality hair services (cuts and color), natural nail services, and waxing (body and facial) with top-tier customer service and care in a luxury spa environment. 85% of bookings are for nail services, and we operate as a natural nail salon.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Adhere to all Miraval and Hyatt policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and stations; restock linens and products before, after, and during shifts.
• Perform consecutive services within a predetermined time frame.
• Sell retail products associated with treatments and achieve monthly sales goals.
• Attend and actively participate in protocol training, product training, operations training, and department meetings.
• Assist with promoting spa treatments by staying knowledgeable about trends in hair, hand, and foot therapy.

Requirements

• Currently licensed in Arizona to perform nail and hair services.
• Proficiency in current trends for haircuts, coloring, highlighting, manicures, pedicures, nail polishing, and eyebrow shaping.
• Passion for creating exceptional guest and colleague experiences with genuine care and empathy.
• Desire to assist guests in achieving wellness goals by respecting their journey and meeting them where they are.
• Professional appearance, demeanor, and confidence.
• Strong educational background with the ability to identify client contraindications to services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a cosmetologist preferred.
