Cosmetologist - Good Samaritan - Albert Lea and Austin - FT - Day Shift

About the role

The Cosmetologist will provide salon services at our Good Samaritan – Albert Lea (Long Term Care and Assisted Living) and Austin campuses. This position requires being a Licensed Cosmetologist in Minnesota and having a Minnesota Salon Manager’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides beauty services for residents, patients, and tenants while maintaining infection control and hairdressing standards.
• Displays a customer-oriented focus and compassion to ensure patients/residents feel welcome and cared for.
• Assists with shaving patients'/residents' heads if desired.
• Assists patients/residents with recommending, selecting, adjusting, and fitting wigs.
• Edits and fits wigs as permitted.
• Educates patients on proper wig care and preservation techniques.
• Manages and displays wig selection.
• Creates and maintains a relaxing environment that ensures patient/resident safety.
• Works independently and occasionally on Saturdays for events.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous retail and cosmetology experience is preferred.
• Licensure with the Board of Cosmetology in the state(s) of practice is required.

Pay

$13.50 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule

Full time, 32 hours per week, day shift
