Position Details

• Typical earnings range from $15–$60 per resident, depending on services provided

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Cosmetology/Beautician License in good standing
• Must meet all applicable state licensing requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous experience preferred, but not required
• Able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
• Able to communicate effectively in English
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Caregiving, compassionate, patient, and dependable with a passion for serving the elderly

Essential Job Functions

• Responsibilities include providing salon and personal grooming services for residents, including:
• - Shampooing
• - Set and roll
• - Blow drying and styling
• - Haircuts
• - Hair coloring
• - Perms
• - Pressing and curling
• - Beard trimming, shaving, and grooming
• - Manicures
• - Pedicures
• Additional responsibilities include:
• - Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized salon environment
• - Scheduling appointments and maintaining service records as needed
• - Following all sanitation and infection control guidelines
• - Building meaningful relationships with residents while promoting their confidence, dignity, and overall well-being
• - Providing a positive, welcoming salon experience that enhances each resident’s quality of life
