Dental Assistant responsibilities include:

• Attend morning meetings prepared to review patients for the day.
• Pull patient history, what was done last appointment, and what is being done for the day off appointment.
• Ensure all proper work has been completed prior to the appointment.
• Turn on compressors and gas.
• Make sure all chairs are down and TV’s and headphones are working.
• Review patient records to be properly prepared.
• Select and set up needed instruments, equipment, and materials.
• Welcome patients by greeting them by name.
• Prepare patients for treatments and ensure their comfort.
• Assist dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
• Take all necessary records for appropriate procedure.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
• Properly send off patients by walking them to front desk staff.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed, ensuring that prescriptions are fully executed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

Pay

• $85,000.00 per year
