COS Material Handler I

Responsibilities

• Receives, fills, and ships products accurately and efficiently.
• Ensures all products are readily available to be filled and completes necessary paperwork.
• Maintains control of products in reserve stock area or will call area.
• Operates power equipment to locate, put away, stack, and move checked-in products.
• Unloads trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or by hand.
• Verifies product quantities and signs freight bills.
• Scans products, prints labels, and resolves labeling discrepancies.
• Picks products, packs items into cartons, and prepares orders.
• Laboratory preparation of hazardous materials.
• Participates in inventory cycle counts and other related projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0 – 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
• Previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.
• Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.
