Responsibilities

• Receiving, filling, and shipping products accurately and efficiently.
• Ensuring all products are readily available to be filled and completing necessary paperwork.
• May be assigned warehouse functions such as receiving, order fulfillment, product picking, wrapping and packing, stock replenishment, customer will call, and inventory cycle counts.
• Operating power equipment (electric pallet jack, walkie rider, sit‑down forklift) safely and efficiently to locate, put away, stack, and move checked‑in products to correct storage locations.
• Stocking, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, rotating product where needed; monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing stock from reserves; maintaining control of products in reserve stock or will call areas.
• Receiving product by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or by hand.
• Ensuring shipments received are in good condition and accurate by inspecting freight for damage, signing freight bills, verifying quantity ordered versus received, checking shipments against packing lists, and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
• Ensuring all required products have verified bar code labels and readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Filling orders by picking products, packing items into cartons, stacking to minimize damage, entering items into scan gun, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Documenting shipment of hazardous materials by labeling cartons correctly and completing necessary paperwork.
• Preparing orders by preparing trucks for shipments, palletizing and wrapping orders, loading pallets and pieces into trucks, placing packing list in last skid, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintaining current accuracy and efficiency standards and following all standard operating procedures.
• May participate in inventory cycle counts and other related projects in current location and/or the market as assigned.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by working safely, following safety rules, maintaining equipment, and keeping a clean work area.
• Promptly reporting any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
• Always wearing protective equipment according to company policies and procedures.
• Accessing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as needed and when appropriate.
• Maintaining required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications as needed.
• Maintaining professional communications when interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Treating all customers and coworkers with a helpful and courteous attitude.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.
