CORRECTIONS SPECIALIST 3 (REENTRY NAVIGATOR) - WFSE 4.7 TRANSFER

State of Washington · Longview, WA · 1 mo ago
OTHRFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings

for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We must only include sections when posting has real specific content. We need to parse the description. The posting includes: - Title: Corrections Specialist 3 - Reentry Navigator - Position #NF03 Reentry Division Longview, Washington - Location: Longview, WA - Hours: 0800 - 1700, Monday - Friday. Work hours determined by unit needs and at discretion of supervisor. - Internal transfer only under WFSE Article 4.7. - Position Summary: description of role. - Required Qualifications: list of education/experience combos. - Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: list. - Additional criteria: disciplinary, performance. - Benefits: extensive description of benefits (insurance, retirement, etc.) - Pay: Not mentioned explicitly. No salary or pay range. So we should NOT include Pay section. - Schedule: we have hours info; we can include Schedule section with that info. - About the role: maybe Position Summary. - Responsibilities: maybe from Position Summary? Could treat as responsibilities. - Requirements: maybe Required Qualifications. - Qualifications: maybe same as Requirements? But we should not duplicate. The instruction: use headings for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide which sections to include based on content. We have: - About the role: could be Position Summary. - Responsibilities: maybe also from Position Summary (serves as member of reentry care teams, etc.) Could be separate. - Requirements: Required Qualifications (education/experience combos). - Qualifications: maybe Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities? But that is more Skills. Could treat Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities as Skills section. - Benefits: we have extensive benefits description. - Schedule: hours. We should not include Pay. We must not repeat job title as heading. We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers as headings; we can fold minor metadata into short p or drop it. So we can include position # maybe in a p. We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep the specifics: e.g., "Hours of work are 0800 - 1700, Monday - Friday. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor." Keep that. We need to keep the internal transfer criteria, etc. That could be part of About the role or Requirements? Probably About the role includes that it's internal transfer only under WFSE Article 4.7. We'll include that in About the role. We need to keep the "How To Apply" instructions? The instruction says remove application instructions. So we should drop the "How To Apply" section, email addresses, etc. Also remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. So we drop the application instructions and contact emails. We must keep Position Summary, Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities, Additional criteria (disciplinary, performance), Benefits description. We must not include boilerplate like "More than Just a Paycheck!"? That's part of benefits intro; we can keep as part of Benefits section. We must not include duplicated lines. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown. We'll structure:

About the role

Internal transfer opportunity under WFSE Article 4.7. Permanent, full‑time Corrections Specialist 3 opening in the Reentry Navigator Unit at the Longview Reentry Center, Longview, WA. Position #NF03.

Maybe also include that it's internal transfer only.

  • Serves on reentry care teams that may include institution and community supervision staff, iCoach representatives, family, faith‑based support, mentors, housing providers, Health and Human Service providers, and community support.
  • Works with Education, Correctional Industries, Housing Voucher, Strength in Families, etc.
But we need to ensure we don't invent. The Position Summary says: "This position is a member of the Reentry Division, Reentry Navigator Team. The Reentry Division includes Education, Correctional Industries, Housing Voucher, and Strength in Families, just to name a few. This position also serves as a member of reentry care teams that may include, but not be limited to, institution and community supervision staff, iCoach representatives, family, faith-based support, mentors, housing providers, Health and Human Service providers, and community support." We can turn that into responsibilities list.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience providing reentry/transition support to justice‑involved population. The 5 years must include either:

  • Three years of experience working with a range of system and community‑based resources (county/city/regional jails, residential/outpatient treatment facilities, housing organizations, health and human services providers, work release facilities) OR

That captures the Required Qualifications.

Skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to build strong rapport with justice‑involved individuals, use effective engagement strategies, gauge competencies, discuss needs/barriers/goals, collaborate in problem‑solving, support prioritization of action steps.
  • Ability to develop proficient skills in group facilitation.

  • Knowledge of prison‑, jail‑, and community corrections‑based standards and rules; ability to analyze information to identify problems and develop action and strategic plans.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work without direct supervision, high degree of motivation.
We also need to include additional criteria: disciplinary, performance. Could be part of Requirements or a separate section like "Additional Requirements". But we only have headings list; we could add to Requirements as extra bullet. Add bullet: "Must have no disciplinary action in personnel file for past 12 months, no pending disciplinary action or investigation, and no repeated performance issues." We'll incorporate.

Benefits

  • Leave sharing, parental leave, FMLA, leave without pay details available on State HR website.
We need to ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like "More than Just a Paycheck!" but we can keep the essence. We also need Schedule section:

Schedule

Hours of work are 0800‑1700, Monday‑Friday. Work hours are determined by unit needs and are at the discretion of the unit supervisor.

We should not include Pay section. We must not repeat job title as heading. We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers as headings; we included position # in About the role paragraph, that's okay. We must not include application instructions; we omitted. We must not include duplicated lines. Check that we preserved all substantive info: internal transfer criteria, location, hours, position summary, responsibilities, qualifications, skills, additional criteria, benefits. Did we miss anything like "If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule." That's part of schedule info; we could add to schedule paragraph. Add: "If you are currently working an alternate work schedule, please be aware that this position may not be able to honor that schedule." Also "For questions, please contact the Human Resource Office." That's application instruction/contact; we should remove. Also "In Accordance With Article 4.7 Of The Washington Federation Of State Employees (WFSE) 2025-27 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), This Job Opening Is Available To Internal Transfer Candidates ONLY." We included internal transfer note. Also criteria list: "You are requesting a transfer under Article 4.7 of the WFSE CBA. You are a permanent DOC employee. You currently hold permanent status in the class being recruited for in this job posting. You are currently in a position represented by WFSE." We could include that in About the role or Requirements. Let's add to About the role paragraph. Add: "Eligible applicants must be permanent DOC employees, hold permanent status in the Corrections Specialist 3 class, be represented by WFSE, and request a transfer under WFSE Article 4.7." Also the note about transfer refusal and eligibility periods: "If you requested transfer under Article 4.7 and you refused the offer, you cannot request another Article 4.7 transfer for 12 months. If you have accepted a transfer under Article 4.7 you are not eligible to request another transfer under this Article for 24 months." That's also substantive; we should keep. Could add to About the role or a separate note. We'll add to About the role paragraph after eligibility. Now check that we didn't miss any responsibilities: The Position Summary also mentions "This position also serves as a member of reentry care teams that may include, but not be limited to, institution and community supervision staff, iCoach representatives, family, faith-based support, mentors, housing providers, Health and Human Service providers, and community support." Already covered. Also "The Reentry Division includes Education, Correctional Industries, Housing Voucher, and Strength in Families, just to name a few." Already covered. Now ensure we didn't include any fluff like "commensurate with experience" etc. We didn't. Now output HTML fragment. We'll wrap
