Corrections Officer - Northampton County Jail

About the role
The mission of Corrections Officers is to maintain security and order within the correctional facility, and to support our role in rehabilitating and preparing inmates for reentry. Newly hired employees are paid their base salary to attend our onsite academy in Easton, PA where they will be trained on all the skills and tools required to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Complete an application with manual input of work history
- Attach a clear picture of your driver’s license
- Current driver’s license with acceptable driving history
- Pass a written exam
- Complete pre-employment screenings (physical, drug screening, background checks, interview) at no cost to the candidate
- All interviews are held in person in Easton, PA
Pay
Base salary is $20.27 per hour ($42,160 per year) plus a shift differential of $0.85. Voluntary and mandatory overtime are both paid at time and a half.
