About the role

To perform work as a Corrections Officer in accordance with established rules, regulations, post orders, and specific instructions; receives general administrative direction. To maintain professional and personal integrity, ethics, and a positive community standing in and outside the work environment; establishes a correctional environment supportive of rehabilitative activities and access to healthcare services reflective of reducing the risks of recidivism. This position works as an armed post.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience, and vice‑versa.
• If hired as a trainee, must meet the minimum qualifications within one year of hire date.

Benefits

• $10,000 sign‑on bonus (if hired before March 1, 2027).
• Hazardous duty pay of $60 biweekly (in addition to base salary).

Pay

• Base salary range: $28.37 – $34.74 per hour.
• Trainee status pay rate: $25.17 per hour.
