Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems and equipment
• Provide classroom and on-the-job training in electrical trade methods and practices
• Assign daily inmate schedules, oversee progress, and inspect completed work
• Issue, track, and inventory tools and supplies needed for daily assignments
• Teach electrical hazards, enforce safety rules, and maintain secure work areas
• Document maintenance activities, work orders, time records, and material usage

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment used in buildings; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the electrical trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the electrical trade.
• Other Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Legal Requirement: You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
