Corrections/Bailiff Officer (FT/PT) - Female Applicants
About the role
Otter Tail County is accepting applications for full-time and part-time female Corrections/Bailiff Officer positions. This position has a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ) due to the need to provide same-gender supervision for inmates at times; therefore, female applicants are being accepted at this time. We currently have an immediate need for full-time positions.
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to maintain order, safety, and security in a medium sized correctional facility within applicable rules, regulations, ordinances, and statutes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain legal inmate and officer records
- Perform intake and release of inmates
- Supervise inmates
- Perform bailiff officer duties in court
Qualifications
Qualified applicants are required to take the REACT for Correction Officer's Exam. Date of the exam will be determined at a later date and communicated to qualified applicants.
