About the role
This classification is scheduled to receive a 5% COLA effective July 2027. Must be willing to work during evenings, weekends and holidays. This recruitment is for Level I.
Responsibilities
- Affords security within assigned facility
- Coordinates visits
- Makes decisions about bail based on court documents
- Processes payments and issues checks
- Answers inquiries and inputs information into automated systems
- Performs general administrative duties
Requirements
- Knowledge of applicable laws and procedures
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
- Ability to interact professionally with the public
Qualifications
Correctional Technician I: One (1) year of experience involving public contact or general clerical duties.
Skills
- Interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures
- Using modern equipment and communication tools
- Communicating clearly and effectively
Benefits
- COLA of 5% effective July 2027
- Longevity pay of 2.5% at 10 years, 2.5% at 15 years, 2.5% at 20 years, totaling 7.5% after 20 years of service
- Boot allowance of up to $275.00 annually for eligible classifications
Pay
The salary range for Level I is $1,623.20 - $2,174.40 biweekly ($20.29 - $27.18 per hour).

Must be willing to work during evenings, weekends and holidays.
