As a Correctional Security Guard - Access Support in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Friday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a correctional facility environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with maintaining orderly movement through designated areas.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
