CORRECTIONAL PLANT MANAGER II, DEPT OF CORRECTIONS

Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Associate Warden of Business Services, the Correctional Plant Manager II, DOC, is responsible for the supervision of Plant Operations staff and incarcerated persons in the operation, maintenance, and repair of institution equipment, buildings, and grounds; including heating, lighting, water treatment, sewage disposal, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, and auxiliary equipment.

Working Conditions

California Correctional Institution is located in the Tehachapi Mountains approximately 325 miles south of Sacramento and approximately 120 miles north of Los Angeles. CCI is a Multi-level, Sensitive Needs Yard, facility consisting of three (3) facilities, encompassed within a campus style layout with varied terrain. Work in this location may require exposure to varied temperatures dependent upon the season.
