About the role
AECOM is seeking a strategic growth and operations leader to oversee environmental remediation services and accelerate higher-returning, lower-risk growth across the Gulf Coast and South-Central markets.
Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen client relationships across Gulf Coast and South-Central Oil & Gas, Energy, and Industrial markets to identify strategic growth opportunities and expand AECOM’s market presence across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market conditions, capital investment trends, regulatory developments, M&A activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy and pursuits.
- Serve as a visible leader in the regional community through industry organizations, conferences, client engagement, and strategic networking.
- Identify emerging market needs and align AECOM’s technical excellence and innovation to deliver integrated, future-focused client solutions.
- Collaborate across AECOM’s business lines to connect expertise and deliver holistic, multi-disciplinary solutions.
- Maximize operational performance by aligning people, project delivery, and client satisfaction to achieve sustainable, higher-returning, lower-risk growth.
- Provide operational leadership for complex projects and programs, resolving delivery challenges, mitigating risk, optimizing resources, and ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
- Guide teams through operational shifts while minimizing disruptions.
- Evaluate potential opportunities to ensure alignment with AECOM’s strategy, risk posture, and growth priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering in a relevant environmental remediation field AND ten (10) years of experience in a technical environmental remediation discipline with a proven track record in operational leadership OR a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Successful completion of background check and motor vehicle records check.
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
Qualifications
- Experience with operational responsibility for managing teams of 30+ professionals.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary environmental projects, programs, or operational teams with responsibility for business performance, project delivery, and client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Gulf Coast and South-Central Oil & Gas, Energy, and Industrial markets; proven ability to develop client relationships and identify growth opportunities across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 15+ years related experience, including 8+ years operations and staff management.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or Geologist (PG).

Pay
$160,000 to $200,000 annually
