About the role
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is seeking motivated individuals who wish to serve and enhance their community. This position offers the chance to collaborate with clinicians, medical staff, and other security personnel to improve community safety by assisting incarcerated individuals in overcoming addiction, trauma, mental health issues, and improving job and housing opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining a secure and orderly environment within the facility.
- Provide supervision and support to inmates.
- Enforce policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all individuals.
- Participate in regular training sessions to maintain skills and knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and staff to address inmate needs and concerns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a physical fitness test.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Qualifications
- Experience in correctional settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
Starting Pay: $67,000 per year with annual increases.
