Correctional Officer

About the role

The Correctional Officer provides for the security, care and direct supervision of inmates/residents in various settings within a correctional facility. This includes maintaining order and security, working any shift, and being available to work any hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
• Employ weapons or force to maintain discipline and order as necessary.
• Work in various posts such as armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to complete any required training.
• At least 18 years of age.
