CORRECTIONAL COUNSELOR I

Responsibilities
Refer to the attached Duty Statement for full details on responsibilities. Incumbents establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within the department, other governmental agencies, health care partners, and communities.
Requirements
Refer to the Class Specification for Minimum Requirements. Candidates must meet these qualifications to be considered for the position.
- Background Investigation clearance required prior to hiring.
- Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview/appointment. If education is used to meet qualifications, unofficial transcripts/diploma must be included. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment.
- Candidates with foreign degrees/transcripts must obtain and submit U.S. course/degree equivalency verification (e.g., via NACES).
- New hires must submit to Live Scan Fingerprinting and a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, with annual testing thereafter.

Pay
$7,278.00 - $11,101.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
Permanent, full-time positions. Limited-term positions are also available.
Location
Fresno County. This position is in-office (no telework).
