About the Role
As a Production Representative, you'll provide customers with fresh, made-in-store products such as salads, sandwiches, and pizzas while maintaining department and food safety and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
- Cuts, slices, dices, chops, and preps food for recipe preparation in accordance with recipe specifications and SOPs.
- Packages, labels, stocks, and rotates made-in-store products.
- Completes tasks at assigned workstations and assists in multiple food preparation areas.
- Assists in technical areas and with catering orders as needed.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards.
- Properly handles and maintains temperature integrity of all ingredients, products, and equipment.
- Maintains sanitation in food preparation areas.
- Properly operates and maintains equipment.
- Provides internal customer service and assists customers as needed.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience in food preparation and equipment (preferred).
- Related experience (preferred).
- Culinary knowledge and understanding of nutritional values and ingredients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to execute high-volume production.
- Ability to keep open availability for rotating shifts, including frequent evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- Culinary certification or equivalent combination of culinary training and work experience (preferred).
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Function in a fast-paced, retail environment with extended hours and rotating schedules.
- Constantly stand, walk, reach at waist, and grasp.
- Frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic materials.
- Occasionally walk, reach overhead, at shoulder, at knee, or at floor; bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, and perform fine motor movements.
- Occasionally exposed to wet, cold, heat, ambient temperatures, and loud noise.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs and manage in excess of 80 lbs with a team lift.
Measurements for frequency: Constantly (5.5+ hours per 8-hour day), Frequently (2.5–5.5 hours per 8-hour day), Occasionally (0–2.5 hours per 8-hour day). Partners must never lift beyond their safe limit and should ask for assistance when needed.
