Corporate Wings Gulfstream 650 Lead Captain (Must reside within 2 hours of KDAL)
About the role
Corporate Wings, a distinguished boutique-style aircraft management company, is seeking a Gulfstream 650 Lead Captain to join our team based at Cuyahoga County Airport in Richmond Heights, Ohio. As the Lead Captain, you will embody our commitment to providing technically accurate, safe transportation alongside a world-class service experience. You will transition seamlessly between roles as a professional aviator and in-flight service provider, ensuring a concierge-level experience for passengers while mentoring and guiding your pilot team.
This position supports a Dallas, TX (KDAL) based Gulfstream 650, contributing to a team of 3 pilots and 1 cabin server operating an on-demand schedule (~400 hours annually on a Part 91 basis).
Responsibilities
- Manage duty schedules, approve monthly expense reports, conduct annual performance evaluations, and oversee training schedules for crew members.
- Interact with flight crew and personnel to coordinate team actions, identify areas of opportunity, share information, and foster employee goodwill through mentorship and counsel.
- Partner with the Client Service Manager to stay updated on aircraft schedule changes or other operational matters affecting crew scheduling.
- Solicit Corporate Wings input and/or approval for operational, personnel, and administrative issues, including pilot relief needs.
- Coordinate all maintenance test, training, and other non-client-initiated flights.
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of assigned flight schedules, adhering to all regulatory and manufacturer guidelines.
- Personally welcome and engage with passengers pre-flight, providing detailed trip briefings, itinerary confirmations, weather updates, and explaining any changes.
- Serve as a dedicated liaison between passengers and Corporate Wings throughout the entire journey, from FBO arrival to departure.
- Deliver impeccable in-flight service, including responsible alcohol handling, catering, and meticulous baggage loading and stowing.
- Uphold cabin integrity by performing thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking procedures before each trip.
- Flexibly undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Reside within 2 hours of Dallas, TX (KDAL) (Required).
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP) (Required).
- 5,000 total flight hours minimum, of which 2,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) (Required).
- First Class Medical with unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (Required).
- Gulfstream 650 type rating (Required).
- Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression.
- Strong capability to interact effectively with passengers and make quick, accurate decisions.
- Working knowledge of FARs 91, 91K, and 135; ICAO and other international regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license.
